Milton Jerome “Mickey” Hage, age 89, of Mankato, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Minneapolis V.A. Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will be in LaSalle Cemetery.
Mickey was born October 26, 1927, in Madelia to Henry and Eldora (Ordson) Hage. He attended St. James High School High School. Mickey served in the U.S. Army in 1946 as an M.P. and assisted with the cleanup after WWII and also served in the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Rosemary M. Biehn on February 26, 1952 at the St. John Catholic Church Rectory. Mickey was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for ten years, was a five-state representative for Snapper Lawnmowers for ten years, and was a self-employed salesman. He was a member of the Mankato American Legion Post 11. Mickey enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, and fishing, especially with his grandchildren.
Mickey is survived by his ten children, Peter Hage of Ft. Worth, TX, Gary Hage of Mankato, Wayne Hage of Good Thunder, Tom Hage of Ft. Worth, TX, Diane (Rick) Sprague of Mankato, Tim (Marjory) Hage of Freeborn, Dan (Doreen) Hage of Mankato, Mark Hage of Lake Crystal, Joanne (Kirk) Marble of Mankato, MN, Melvin (Lorraine) Hage of Mankato; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; brother, John Hage of Fergus Falls; two sisters, Irene Dezurak of Milwaukee, WI and Shirley (Jack) Rutherford of Bowie, TX; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosemary in 2015; brother, James; sister-in-law, Sandy Hage; and brother-in-law, Steve Dezurak.
