Norma P. Bruels, age 93 died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday March 27, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday with a Rosary Service at 1:45 p.m at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

Norma was born December 30, 1923 in Mankato to Ernest and Wanda (Powolska) Kott. She graduated from Loyola High School in 1942. Norma attended Mankato Commercial College. She worked for 13 years at Standard Oil Company in Mankato. Norma was united in marriage to Donald E. Moe on February 14, 1956. Donald died September 11, 1961. Norma married Herbert Bruels on February 20, 1965. They lived in St. Clair until 1970, then moved to a farm one mile from St. Clair. Herbert died in 2001 and she lived on the farm alone until 2011.

Norma enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. She also did canning, crocheting afghans and scrubbies.

Norma is survived by two sons, Darryl Moe of St. Clair, Dennis and Susan Moe of North Mankato; two granddaughters, Bridgette (Bryan Neubert) Horkey, Cassie (Nathan) Muth; two great grandchildren, Colton Horkey, Eryn Muth; three sisters-in-laws, Patricia Bruels, Joan Bruels, Marion Taylor; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; infant sister.
