Carol L. Roberts

Carol Lynn Roberts, age 69, originally from Lake Crystal, passed away peacefully, February 7, 2017 at her home on Round Lake in Bigfork, Minnesota.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato with a sharing of memories at 4:30 p.m.

Carol Lynn was born May 8, 1947 in Mankato to Emrys Roberts and Beverly (Hoxie) Roberts Jones. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1965. Carol attended Winona State University, Mankato State University, and graduated with her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. She taught math for many years at Sibley High School in West St. Paul. She retired early to pursue her passions of riding her Harley and rock climbing. Carol finally left city life for peace and quiet, eventually settling in a place that brought her great joy in northern Minnesota. She had many wonderful memories with Chad and family at the lake.

Carol is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rita Roberts; sister, Linda Erdos; nieces, Karie (Dave) Franck and Emmy (Tim) Mastel; nephew, Paul Erdos; great-niece, Maya Thykeson; and great-nephews, Charlie and William Mastel; many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Chadwick Cuyler; and an infant sister, Barbie Lue.
