Patricia Mae Lyons

Patricia Mae Lyons, age 84, died on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Mary’s in Rochester surrounded by her family. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Patricia was born on March 27, 1932 in Mankato to Roman and Marie (Miesen) Oberle.  She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1950.  On May 3, 1952, Patricia was united in marriage to TJ “Dutch” Lyons.  They later divorced.  Pat worked for many years at Brett’s Department Store, was a waitress at the Morson-Ario, and worked at Carlson Craft.  Pat enjoyed reading, Sudoku puzzles, ceramics, and bowling.  Family was everything to Pat and holidays were so important to her.  She enjoyed spending time at the lake every summer.  The back door was always open at Pat’s home, she took many people in. 

Pat is survived by seven children, Suzanne (Jon) Breitenstein of Rapidan, Tim (Nancy) Lyons of Belle Plaine, Pam Anderson (Jim Keim) of Belle Plaine, Don Lyons of North Mankato, Dan Lyons (Tami Thomas) of North Mankato, Joe Lyons (Rose Hanson) of North Mankato, and Kim (Joe) Enz of North Mankato; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Mary Oberle and Ruth Lyons; brother-in-law, Dick (Sheila) Lyons; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Marie Oberle; TJ “Dutch” Lyons; one great-grandchild, Kaden Carpenter; brother, Dick Oberle; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
