Allison Marie (Adamson) Morris, 99 of Mankato, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Pathstone Living. Allison (Sis) was born in Mankato April 12, 1917 to Harry and Alice (Lundberg) Adamson. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1935. After completing Beauty School she owned and operated her own “Beauty Shop” in downtown Mankato.

She was united in marriage with Lawrence (Gus) Morris on August 14, 1940. They celebrated 73 years together until his death on November 11, 2013.

In her younger years she enjoyed ice skating. Allison and Lawrence were long time members of the Mankato Golf Club where they enjoyed many afternoons on the course, followed by cards and socializing in the clubhouse. Allison was the last of a regular Sunday night dinner group who gathered for many, many years at the club.

She and Gus took winter vacations to Arizona and Florida, continuing their love of golf. An annual tradition was family vacations to Nisswa, for fishing, card playing, and swimming. Many summer days the family gathered at Lake Francis for more of the same activities.

Allison is survived by her daughter Barbara (John) Rottunda of Mankato;  son,  James (Lynn) Morris of Evanston, IL, grandchildren David (Amy) Lyons, Lori (Greg) Reynolds, Molly (Brad) Sween, and Douglas (Maureen) Morris, and seven great granddaughters, Riley Lyons, Grace, Isabelle and Chloe Reynolds, Madeline and Abigail Sween and Olivia Morris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence and her brother Marlowe Adamson. In accordance with her wishes a private family service will be held at a later date.
