Lawrence William Adermann, was born to C. Otto and Lorraine (Estell) Adermann on April 20, 1941. He passed away quietly on Christmas morning at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.
He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1959 and attended Mankato State University.
On August 26, 1961, Larry married Garnann Prince at the United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal.
Larry worked for the Chicago Northwestern and the Union Pacific Railroads for over 42 years, the last 37 years he worked in the Mankato yards. Larry loved the railroad.
Larry loved to hunt, fish, trap shoot, farm, garden, and to watch the food and hunting networks. Larry could sit and talk to friends and family about these subjects for hours as he was able to recite almost every detail of every hunting and fishing trip he ever took. Larry and Garnann together fished in Canada and Northern Minnesota over 40 years. In more recent years, Larry made many memories with his son, Paul and his grandson, Andrew hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. Larry and his brother, Donald “Butch” farmed together the land that they were raised on for several years. Larry was a member of the United Methodist Church where he and Garnann were baptized together in May of 1941.
Larry was a member for over 30 years of the Lake Crystal Fire Department and he enjoyed many friendships from the department. Larry was an excellent marksman. He prided himself of being very competitive. He was a member of the Nicollet Conservation Club and was a founding member of the Lake Crystal Trap Club. He was a member and contributor to Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and Minnesota Pheasants, Inc.
Larry is survived by his wife, Garnann; a daughter, Peggy of Shakopee; and a son, Paul, and his wife Lynne of River Falls, WI; the two apples of his eye were grandson, Andrew, and granddaughter, Audra. Larry is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald “Butch” and Gloria Adermann of Mankato; niece, Lana and nephew, Travis and two cousins; Joyce Cook of Brandon, SD and Ronnie Adermann of Hawaii. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Andrew and Garnet Prince; very special aunt and uncle, Herman and Marion Adermann.
