Peggy Lee VanGuilder

Peggy VanGuilder, age 64, of Mankato, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her home. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Northview.  Private family burial will take place at Glenwood Cemetery.

Peggy was born on December 12, 1952 in Madelia, MN to Philip and Bonita (Elkins) Mickelson.  She grew up in Butternut and graduated from Lake Crystal High School.  She married Brad VanGuilder on June 26, 1971.  They soon moved to Mankato where they resided and operated the family business, Brad’s Auto Parts. 

In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed gardening, flowers, craft fairs, late night shopping trips and baking.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Robert) Klein; son, Terry VanGuilder; grandchildren, Michael and Eryn Klein and Brayden VanGuilder; and brother, Joe Mickelson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
