Phyllis Lyons Farrell

Phyllis Farrell, 91, of Madison Lake, passed away peacefully at her home on November 13, 2016. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marysburg.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary with a 6:45 p.m. rosary.  Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the Marysburg Cemetery. 

Phyllis was born on July 28, 1925 in Mankato to O.C. and Ella (Hansen) Olson.  She attended Mankato public schools until 1943.  She was a homemaker most of her life.  Phyllis was the first president of the Morson Ario VFW Auxiliary #9713.  She was a member of the Eagle Lake Legion Auxiliary #619, Madison Lake Historical Society, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. 

Phyllis is survived by her five sons, William, Patrick (Cathy), Mike (Cynthia), Tom (Jan), and Chris; daughter, Cindy; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Schmidt; sister-in-law, Lois Olson; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John “Allie” Lyons and Mike Farrell; infant son, Richard; and three brothers, Woodrow (Mary), Adlor (Phyllis), and Roger Olson.
