Fern A. Siebenbruner

Fern Annette Siebenbruner, age 86, of Mankato was called home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Water’s Edge in Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Paul Lauer, officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church on Saturday. Private family interment will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to St. Croix Hospice.

Fern was born November 3, 1930, in rural Sibley County, Minnesota to Arthur W. and Myrtle B. (Franke) Tollefson and she attended rural school, District 13. The family moved to St. Peter where she graduated from high school in 1948. Fern attended nursing school in Minneapolis and was involved in nursing for 33 years. She retired from Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mankato as a pediatric nurse. Fern was united in marriage to LeRoy R. Siebenbruner on May 6, 1950. They were blessed with three children. Fern enjoyed reading, family time, and church time.

Fern is survived by her husband of 66 years, LeRoy; three children, Dale (Gayle) Siebenbruner of Wahpeton, ND, Jean (Patrick) Dougherty of Albuquerque, NM, and Nancy (Randy) Rigdon of Mankato; six grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Schmidt of Gaylord; and several nieces and nephews.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
