Monte Lynn Savage

Monte Lynn Savage, age 66 of Mankato, Minnesota died Friday, October 21, 2016.

A funeral service for Monte will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary with visitation held one hour prior. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato.

Monte was born December 20, 1949 in Waseca, Minnesota to Robert and Hattie (Possin) Savage. Monte graduated from Janesville High School and later attended several trade schools. Monte worked as a mechanic, HVAC technician, and sheet metal worker.

He was united in marriage to Carol Savage (Reese) on June 30th, 1973 in Mankato. Monte enjoyed spending time with his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren.

Monte is survived by his wife Carol Savage; daughter Monica Savage; sons Eric “Rick” (Angela) Stewart and Todd Stewart; grandchildren Kayla and Katrina Stewart, Kaylee, Jayda and Brayden Savage; mother Hattie McLouth; siblings Steven Savage, Robert “Bob” Savage, Lauree Fogg, Lisa McLouth, Lana McLouth, Janean Longeville. Monte was preceded in death by his grandparents Edgor and Agnus Beck (Possin); step-father Lorrin McLouth; sister Darcy LaMontia; and parents-in-law William and Dorothy Reese.
