Mike was born August 9, 1954 near Springfield, MN to Clarence and Arlene (Baur) McGuire. When he was a child, his family moved to St. Paul, but he continued to enjoy the summers with family near Springfield. Mike graduated from Sibley High School in 1972. Mike retired last year from working in metal fabrications and enjoyed his two passions: spending time with family and riding his Harley Davidson. He traveled all around the United States, including Tennessee, Washington D.C., Utah, Las Vegas, and up and down the coasts. Mike also loved listening to music and attending local symphony performances and music festivals, including Blues on Belgrade and the Rock Bend Folk Festival in St. Peter. Described as laid back, humble, well-spoken, and intelligent, Mike was the kind of guy who would go out of his way to help others. He would give without expecting anything in return, and his compassion and generous heart will be missed by many.
