Richard Vjean Taylor

Richard Vjean Taylor, 47, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Mankato Mortuary.  Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Richard was born to JB and Cleo (Grimes) Taylor in Gary, IN on April 5, 1969.  He was a very down to earth man who was willing to help anyone.  He had a contagious laugh and a smile that could light up any room.  Richard loved playing cards, spending time at the race track and anything that was mechanical.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Richard received that call, the kind of call that can’t be refused for an appointment from which he will not be returning.  He will be smiling and laughing with friends and family members that he has not seen in a while with his heavenly father by his side.  Even though his work is over here, Richard has more work to do upstairs.  He was given the gift of life and now he has to give it back.  That is hard for a lot of us, but he was a lucky man who led a great life full of joy and love.  He will be forever missed, but not forgotten.

Richard leaves behind, four brothers, Ronald Jerome Taylor, Ray Anthony Taylor, Roy Reginald Taylor, and Rodney Bernard Taylor; sister, Patricia Thomas; and many nieces, nephews. 

Richard was a great uncle and enjoyed his family.  He will always be in our hearts, minds and soul.  We love your and we know you will be looking down on us.
