Richard "Dick" Lewis

Richard “Dick” Lewis, 76, of North Mankato, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Paul van de Crommert officiating.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Andreas Cancer Center.

Richard was born on September 8, 1940 in Adrian, MN to George and Behildes (Masgai) Lewis.  Dick graduated from Adrian High School and then served in the United States Air Force.  He was honorably discharged on August 6, 1963.  On November 16, 1968, Dick was united in marriage to Suzanne Remakel.  He worked for the State of MN Highway Department for 35 years.  Dick was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing.  He was an active member of the Eagles Club and the North Mankato American Legion Post #518.  Dick and Suzanne were members of Holy Rosary for over 40 years. 

Dick is survived by his wife, Suzanne “Sue”; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Lewis, Larry Fix, Robert (Mary) Remakel, Mike (Diane) Remakel, Nancy Remakel, Becky Remakel, Barbara (Pat) Strassburg; nieces and nephews; and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
