He attended Tivoli School and St. Clair High School before graduating from Mapleton High School in 1966. On April 28, 1973, Michael was united in marriage to Kathleen Johns at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.
He was a member of the Army National Guard, American Legion Post 294 in Good Thunder, and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mike worked several jobs and was hired at Honeymead in 1970 and continued there for 38 years until retirement. He held an office in the local union during his career.
In his spare time, Michael loved hunting and fishing with his brothers, trap shooting, playing horseshoes, and being with his family and friends. From fishing trips up north to enjoying the sunshine in Florida, Mike enjoyed traveling. He will be dearly missed by many.
