Kyrie Bliss Murphy

Kyrie Bliss Murphy, 9 of Mankato, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St. Marys Campus in Rochester.

A visitation will take place from 1-4pm, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato.

Kyrie was born in Mankato on June 11, 2007 to David and Tara (Bowen) Murphy. She was currently a fourth grade student at Franklin Elementary School. Kyrie and her dad were gamers by nature and always enjoyed watching a good cartoon. She loved spending time in nature, collecting rocks, looking at the stars at night, and being around animals. Kyrie was known to have an old soul with an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the room. She was also extremely creative and artistic. All who knew her will remember her as a kind and funny girl who will be deeply missed by all.

Kyrie is survived by her parents, David and Tara of Mankato; grandmothers, Margaret Bowen-Rai and Jamie Murphy; uncles, Sean Rai and Richard Murphy; aunt, Kari Murphy; cousins, Richie and Kaydence Murphy; great-aunt and uncles, Kathleen and Michael Knutson and Patrick and Francis Bowen; second cousins, Jerrett Knutson, Christine Gonzalez, Candice Knutson, and Brandon Knutson; third cousins, Brianna Coulter, Derrick Robley, LeoBardo and Eliana Gonzalez, and Emily McLaughlin; and pet cats, Roxas and Artax. She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Dorothy and Bernard Bowen.
