Linda Ann Rousselow, age 66, of Mankato, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016, at her home with her family, and was taken to her Heavenly home, after a long illness.

Linda was born August 10th, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska to Alfred C. and LaVon K. (Gasser) Smith. Growing up, Linda lived in several locations in Nebraska, Montana, and Indiana. She attended Denver Baptist Bible College and Pillsbury Baptist College before moving to Mankato. Linda was best known as a dedicated, caring mother. This care extended to anyone who needed special love, attention, direction, and help. She was always giving and happy, and could bring a warm smile to cheer the heaviest heart. Linda was spiritually born again when she was seven years old under the direction of her Sunday school teacher. Since that time, she has maintained a powerful testimony of God’s love and forgiveness. This testimony was expressed in her 20 years of service as a teacher’s assistant or monitor at both Coon Rapids Christian School & Grace Christian School. She was an advocate for those students that tended to be easily overlooked, and she was affectionately called by many “Mrs. R”! Linda was a member of several Baptist Churches over the years where she participated in several ministries such as serving as a Deaconess, helped out in various Children’s Ministries, and mentored the youth by hosting high school, college, and career church groups.

Linda married David Rousselow at Grace Baptist Church on November 15, 1974. This union resulted in the blessing of 2 children; son and daughter, Joshua (1977) and Misha (1983). Linda lived in Mankato most of her married life. She also lived in Ames, Iowa and Coon Rapids, Minnesota during this period of her life.

Linda is survived by her husband, David; two children, Joshua (Kwang Hee) Rousselow and Misha (Jonathan) Huff; two granddaughters, Sidney and Samantha; her mother, LaVon Smith; five sisters, Cheryl (Hans) Stitzinger, Julie (Jeff) Angus, Connie Ellsbury, Loretta (John) Schofield, and Darlene (Jason) Pankonin; brother, David (Heidi) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Smith and brother, Philip Smith.
