Dean Roy Harris, 59 of Mankato, died Friday, September 2, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
Memorial service will be 11am, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation starting at 9:30am. Burial will take place at a later date at Kerns Oak Grove Cemetery. Please share a memory with Dean’s family online at www.mankatomortuary.com.
Dean was born May 28, 1957 in Mankato to Alfred Roy and Ada Esther (Burnett) Harris. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1976. On August 30, 1980, he was united in marriage to Suzanne Adams, and they were blessed with one daughter, Jennifer. Dean was employed by Carlson Craft for 27 years and also worked in the housekeeping department of the Mankato Clinic for over 16 years.
Dean and Suzanne loved camping at their permanent site in Elysian for the past 8 years, watching the Minnesota Vikings training camp, and traveling to California, Florida, United Kingdom, and Germany. Dean also enjoyed watching the Price is Right, woodworking, and relaxing in his man cave. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Harris of North Mankato; daughter, Jennifer Olmstead of Inver Grove Heights; mother, Ada Harris of Mankato; sister, Paula Evers of Lafayette; sisters-in-law, Susan Harris and Stephanie Clark; brothers-in-law, David (Amy) Adams and Dennis Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Harris; siblings, Peggy Harris, Pamela Webber, Patsy Songer, and Dennis Harris; mother-in-law, Judy Adams; and father-in-law, Ambrose Adams.
