Mary Jane Tice

Mary Jane Ann Tice, 94, of Mankato passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Ecumen Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Funeral Mass will take place 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Mary Jane was born February 8, 1922 to William and Alma (Olsen) Montgomery in Eau Claire, WI. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1941. In the 1950’s Mary Jane started her career in sales working for Home  Decorators.  She was a star salesperson winning many rewards and recognitions.  She ended her career at age 86 after 13 years at the Lorraine Shop.  Mary Jane loved people and always lit up the room with her smile and laughter, playing cards and bingo whenever possible.  She enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds, as well as watching game shows and golf.  She really loved all animals.

Mary Jane is survived by her children, Patrick (Sue) Tice, Stephen (Kay) Tice, and Mary (Craig) Thorson; grandchildren, Will, Gwyn, Carolyn, Stephanie, and Danielle; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; and brother, Cyrus.

The family prefers memorials be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society.
