June Ann Juliar

June A. Juliar, age 90, passed away peacefully August 20, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato, with Pastor Kelly McCuaig officiating. Visitation will be two-hours prior the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Decoria Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hilltop United Methodist Church. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 27, 1925 in Medo Township, Blue Earth County, to Harvey and Ruby (Younggreen) Crane. June attended school in Pemberton, MN and received her teaching degree from Mankato State Teachers College, Mankato, MN. She taught grade school in Kiester, MN.  June was united in marriage to Darrell Juliar on June 21, 1947. 

Her family was a vital part of her life as never a day went by that she wasn't in touch with one of them. Spending time with the family at their cabin on Long Lake, Longville, MN was such an enjoyment and the winter months were enjoyed at their condo in Apache Junction, AZ.

June was a life-long active member of the Zion United Methodist Church in St Clair, MN. She moved to Mankato in 2003 to Diamond Creek and most recently Oak Terrace in 2015.  After moving to Mankato she became a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Deanne (Tom) Oachs, Debra (Mark) Oachs  all of Mankato, MN and Sheree McDaniel of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Shannon (Todd) Andersen, Kerri Oachs Smith, Janelle Oachs, Mitchell (Brianne) Oachs; six great grandchildren, Brennen and Brady Andersen, Harper and Sullivan Smith, Frederick and Watson Oachs; and sister-in-law, Golda Crane, LaHabra, CA, and Barbara (Juliar) Horsager, Eagan, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell Juliar; grandson, Kurtis; son-in-law, Ernie McDaniel; brother, Watson Crane.
