Ervin "Jack" Wrucke

Ervin “Jack” Wrucke, 97, of Good Thunder, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Visitation will take place 11-1 p.m., at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder.  The family prefers memorials be given to St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder.

 Jack was born November 30, 1918 to Ernest and Bertha (Kaul) Wrucke in Lyra Township. He was baptized, confirmed, and was a lifelong member at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. He was a lifelong farmer in which he started as a hired man working for Frank Behnke. Jack was united in marriage to Berdina Behnke on October 4, 1940. After Berdina passed away in 1969 he later married Helen Flo.

Jack enjoyed being a lifetime farmer and fishing trips to various lakes in northern Minnesota. Jack and Helen were also Texas snowbirds for 25 years. They enjoyed traveling together including trips to Alaska in their mini-home and tours to Europe. Most of all, Jack will be remembered as a patient man dedicated to his family.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Joyce (Lafe) Ioerger of Delavan and Connie (Tom) Schulz of Mankato; son, Mark (Pat) Wrucke of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Ann Wrucke of Litchfield; step-daughter, Barbara (John Paquette) Flo of Stillwater; step-son, Steve (Alice) Flo of Winona; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gertrude DeRemer of North Mankato and Joan Mattson of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his two wives, Berdina and Helen; Son, Wayne “Chops” Wrucke; 8 siblings; and in-laws.
