Patricia K. Rono

Patricia Karen Rono, age 74, of Mankato, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center, 700 James Avenue, in Mankato.  Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont.

Patty was born March 17, 1942, in Grand Rapids to Arthur and Effie (Strang) Rono.  She was a graduate of North High School in St. Paul and attended South Central Community College.  Patty worked in nursing, cooking, and housekeeping for 45 years.  She was employed with MRCI for 11 years.

Patty was full of life.  She had a physical disability since the age of 3, but didn’t let that slow her down.  She loved to write and play music.  Patty learned to speak in German, Swedish, Spanish, and Latin.  She had a kind and gentle heart, but most important she trusted in God.

Patty is survived by her cousins and was preceded in death by her parents.
