Friedella Olga Mosher, age 86 of Mankato died, Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair with Rev. Matthew Grunewald officiating. Burial will be in St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the 2:00 p.m. service at the church on Thursday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Friedella was born April 8, 1930 to Erick and Olga (Berndt) Birk at home in Decoria Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She attended rural county school for eight years and graduated valedictorian from St. Clair High School in 1948. Friedella met the love of her life in 1949 Kenneth Mosher and was united in marriage to him on September 1, 1950. She was a homemaker for her family. Friedella was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed genealogy and wrote a history of her township of birth.

Friedella is survived by her son, Marlyn (Theresa) Mosher of Mankato; four grandchildren, Erin, Amber (Michael) Davis, Kelsey, and Cole; great-granddaughter, Alexis Davis; sister, Verna Schoenrock of New Richland; brother, Walter (Phyllis) Birk of Winona; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth in August 8, 1985; brother, Arthur Birk.
