Betty Jean Moe, 81, of Eagle Lake, MN passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at her home.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4th, 2016 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eagle Lake. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Minneopa Cemetery, Mankato.

Betty Jean High, daughter of Sanford High and Eloise Musser, was born March 7, 1935 in Mankato. She graduated from Rapidan High School in 1953 and furthered her education in Minneapolis. On August 3, 1957 she married James Moe in Mankato. Together they raised three children, Brian, Brad, and Brenda.

Betty worked as a secretary for 25 plus years at Eagle Lake Elementary School. She was also very active within the community of Eagle Lake for over 50 years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing and especially gardening. Betty was a kind, generous, loving person who put others before herself. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

To mourn her passing and celebrate her life, Betty is survived by her children, Brad (Heidi) Moe of Chaska; daughter, Brenda (Brett) Belcourt of St. Clair; grandchildren,  Lauren and Andrew Moe, Brian, Tyler, and Donovan Belcourt; and brother, Harold High of  Mankato.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and son, Brian.
