Diane Marie Sieberg

Diane Marie Sieberg, age 74, of North Mankato, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25 at MCHS-Mankato, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28 from 4-7pm at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 29 at 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.

Diane was born April 19, 1942 in Mankato to Frank and Lucille (Monahan) Turtle. She was a 1960 graduate of Mankato High School.  Diane was united in marriage to Lowell Sieberg on February 11, 1961 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato. In her early years she was employed as a waitress at the Century Club and The Junction Inn. She also worked as a physical therapy aide at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital, retiring in 2002.  She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Diane enjoyed hosting family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, gardening, baking cookies, annual trips to Laughlin, NV with friends, and morning exercise and coffee with the “Curves girls”. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her 3 grandchildren and watching their activities and sporting events.

Diane is survived by her husband, Lowell; 2 sons, Joe (Jenny) Sieberg of North Mankato, Chris (Kathy) Sieberg of Mankato; grandchildren, Paige Sieberg of Mankato, Alex Sieberg (Courtney Plante) of St. Paul, and Taylor Sieberg of Duluth; 2 brothers, Gary (Sherry) Turtle and Mike (Kathy) Turtle; Lowell’s siblings and their spouses; and nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale; and brother, David.
