Cecilia F. Hanson, age 98 of Mankato, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 peacefully at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Cecilia Hanson was born September 21, 1917 to Anton and Betty (Mueller) Wingerberg in Taylor, North Dakota. Her family moved from Taylor, North Dakota to Sandstone, Minnesota and later to Mankato where she graduated from Good Council.

Cecilia owned and operated the Moulin Rouge Beauty Shop for over 60 years on south 2nd street in Mankato. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Cecilia enjoyed her work and her family.

Cecilia is survived by her son, Howard (Marilyn) Hanson of Mankato; daughter-in-law, Jill Hanson; seven grandchildren, Mike (Victoria) Hanson, Pam True, Beth (Jason) Sommers, Cassie (Eric) Kindgren, Jessica Hanson, Peter Hanson, Alex Hanson; 13 great-grandchildren; two nieces.

Preceded in death by her parents; son, Henry Hanson and sister, Esther Schoberg.
