Richard Lewis Savick, age 82, of St. Clair, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Northview and will continue one hour before service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials are preferred to the family.

Richard was born October 20, 1933 to Oliver and Mabel (Graue) Savick in Frost, MN. He graduated from Frost High School in 1951. He married Ardyth J. Pogatchnik on March 16, 1957 in Searles. Dick served his country with the U.S. Navy from 1952-56 during the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the USS Albany. Dick was employed in banking early in his life and later became a carpenter and operated 3D Construction. He was a lifetime member of the St. Clair American Legion where he served as post commander twice. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, fixing things and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his wife, Ardyth; two daughters, Vicki (Dominic) Tortorella of Janesville and Kimberly Janicke of St. Clair; four grandchildren, Dominic (Jordan) Tortorella Jr., Mario Tortorella, Jenni Savick, and Colton Janicke; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Tortorella III and Roman Tortorella; many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three infant brothers.
