Mildred Verona “Millie” Wrucke, age 91, of Good Thunder, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder.  Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.  Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church.

Mildred was born June 2, 1925, in Rost Township, Jackson County.  She was the daughter of Edgar and Frieda (Post) Ulbricht.  Millie was baptized and confirmed at Rost Lutheran Church, rural Lakefield.  She attended Ewington Township Rural and Rost Lutheran Parochial Schools.  Millie was a graduate of Okabena High School and Bethany Jr. College.

Millie was a Lutheran elementary teacher in Gaylord and Good Thunder.  She was united in marriage to Loren Darge on March 25, 1951, in Rost Township.  Millie later married Leroy “Bud” Wrucke on December 30, 1994, in Good Thunder.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, where she participated in the choir, Ladies Aid, and VBS.  Millie was also a member of Rural Letter Carriers Association, NARFE, and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed singing in choirs, bowling, camping, sports, and traveling.

Millie is survived by her two daughters, Beth (Raymond) Rush of Good Thunder and Cynthia (Joe) Ott of Davenport, IA; two sons, David Darge of Atascadero, CA and Joel (Carolyn) Darge of St. Peter; two step-sons, Dennis (Sally) Wrucke of Crystal Lake, IL and Marlin (Kay) Wrucke of Fairmont; twelve grandchildren, Jeremy Rush, Nathan (Stephanie) Rush, Matthew (Christy) Rush, Rebekah (Marcus) Tabbert, Josef (Lindsay) Ott, Daniel (Jennifer) Ott, Benjamin Ott, Caleb (Danielle) Ott, Jacob Ott, Ryan (Liz) Darge, Rachel (Jon) Fitch, and Kelli Darge; four step-grandchildren, Tony (Ila) Wrucke, Kara Wrucke, Judd (Amber) Wrucke, and Ashley Wrucke; nine great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clem Ulbricht of Brewster; one sister, Alice Dewall of Okabena; one brother-in-law, Jack Wrucke of Mapleton; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Loren Darge on October 31, 1989, and Bud Wrucke on August 6, 2012; one brother-in-law, Kenneth and one sister-in-law, Vickie.
