Elton Charles Good, age 90, of Mankato, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Pathstone Living.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Northview and will continue from 12:30-2:00 on Monday. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Elton was born on January 1, 1926 in Sawyer, North Dakota to Jesse and Alice (Putney) Good. He graduated from Velva High School in Velva, N.D. Elton served in the United States Army during World War II. On June 12, 1949, Elton was united in marriage to June Harness. He was an auto mechanic in North Dakota for many years and also did side work with a back hoe. After moving to Mankato he worked for various dealerships before retiring from Snell Motors. Elton enjoyed crafting with June, woodworking, camping, and traveling. He loved his 1955 Studebaker pick-up and attended many roll-ins.
Elton is survived by four children, Roger (Laurie) Good, Alice Good, Jerry (Deb) Good, and Eileen (Jeff) Coopman; grandchildren, Julie (Kasey) Schrandt, Jenny (Gabe) Cain, Jason Good (Dawn Baker), Kevin (Leah) Good, Alex (Elizabeth) Coopman, Ashley Coopman, and Erica Good; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Elsie Good. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June in 2010; sister; brother; and great-grandson.
