Mary Elizabeth Marble, age 61, of St. Clair, died Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor’s choice.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. 

Mary was born December 16, 1954, to Donald and Patricia (Schirber) Fier in Marshall, MN. She grew up on a farm outside of Taunton, MN.  She graduated from Minneota Public School and after graduation attended Mankato Vocational School earning her LPN degree.  She was employed by Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato for 38 years before her retirement.  On April 24, 1976, she married Dale Marble and they built a home in St. Clair.  Mary enjoyed her family and friends.  She enjoyed doing needlepoint and Mary and Dale loved to take their boat out on area lakes.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dale; three sons, Corey (Jennifer) Marble and grandson, Zachary of Mankato, Sean Marble of St. Clair, and Jesse Marble of Mankato; ten siblings, Don (Mary) Fier of St. Paul, Tom (Kathy) Fier of Minneota, Wally (Mary) Fier of Brookings, SD, Cathy (Don) Korman of Ghent, Paula (Stephen) Lynn of Verdi, Margaret (Mark) Paulson of Milan, Bev (Ron) Wambeke of Hutchinson, Laurie (Jon) Claeys of Rochester, Jim (M’Liss) Flier of Columbus, IN, and Tim (Gary Wolters) Fier of Lake Elmo; many nieces and nephews.
