Delbert Rex Wilson
Delbert Rex Wilson, 56 of Mankato, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his home.
Memorial service will held at 2pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Hosanna Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior. Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Delbert was born April 30, 1959 in Wells, Minnesota to Arthur and Mary (Glaubitz) Wilson. He graduated from high school in Amboy and studied Welding at South Central Technical College. Delbert worked as a welder for Crysteel TBEI for over 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving tractor, woodworking, and gardening. He was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church and also active with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge in Mapleton. His kindness, helpful nature, and good sense of humor will be missed.
Survivors include his children, Matthew Wilson of Mankato, Heidi (Matt) Heil of New Ulm, Diane (Cory) Howk of North Carolina, and Benjamin (Luca) Wilson of Mankato; siblings, Dean (Linda) Wilson of Amboy, Dennis (Nancy) Wilson of Amboy, and Dale (Karen) Wilson of Mankato; 6 grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents.
