Margaret "Peggi" Carpenter

Margaret “Peggi” Zoe Carpenter died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Healthcare System in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Peggi was born October 3, 1951 to Walter and Virginia (Perron) Rasmussen in Mankato. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1970. On November 28, 1970 she married her high school sweetheart, Dale Carpenter at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.  They were blessed with 3 children.

For 25 years Peggi worked as the “Liquor Lady” at Synder Drug/Walgreens in Mankato. In her free time, Peggi enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, Casinos, Elvis, and holidays with family. Her highlights were traveling to Graceland and most recently to Hawaii. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. As a loving, giving, and selfless woman, Peggi will be greatly missed by many. 

Peggi is survived by her husband, Dale of 45 years; children, Tony (Tracy) Carpenter, Tanya (Steve) Roemhildt, and Trevor (Yer) Carpenter; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Lorraine Carpenter; many other family and friends; and her beloved toy poodle, Muffin May. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tyler Carpenter; sister, Sandra Rasmussen; and father-in-law, Calvin Carpenter.
