Kathleen Marjorie Schouviller

Kathleen Marjorie Schouviller, 70, of Mankato died Thursday, March 31, 2016 in rural Mankato.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kathleen was born July 28, 1945 to Arthur and Marjorie (Wilson) Kneefe in Kasota, MN. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1964.  Kathleen was united in marriage to Everette Freeland in 1968.  She was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato.

In her free time, Kathleen enjoyed volunteering at the CADA house in Mankato where she was awarded the Jefferson Good People Award in 1998. Kathleen also enjoyed caring for her dogs. Family was very important to her and she lived for her grandchildren. Kathleen will be remembered as a caring and kind person with a big heart who loved to give hugs. She will be greatly missed.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Yvette (Tom) Fischer of Hutchinson, MN and Marcus (Diana Ruschmeyer) Schouviller of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Nicolas Fischer, Kelsey Fischer, Ahna Walker, and Carter Schouviller; sister-in-law, Frances Kneefe; niece, RaeAnn Thompson; nephew, Michael Kneefe; and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everette Freeland in 1972; and brother, Edmond Kneefe.
