Monica Ann Doran, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 31 at St. Therese at Oxbow Lake. Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia; and her brother, John. A beloved sister, aunt, godmother, and friend, Monica is survived by her sister, Donna Daschner; five nieces; four nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends.
Monica was born on August 31, 1924 to Philip C. and Valeria R. (Eder) Doran and raised in Madison Lake, Minnesota. She spent 40 years working in the medical field, 35 as an X-ray technician. Monica was a strong and independent woman, and the cherished matriarch of the extended Doran family. She loved garden tomatoes, new recipes, fashion, entertaining, and spending time with family and children. Monica was an excellent seamstress, an avid card player, and a devout Catholic.

Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating Monica’s Life will be at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, Minnesota on Saturday, April 9 th at 1:00 p.m. Visitation at the church one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to All Saints or St. Therese. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
