Ruth A. Loe, age 91, of North Mankato, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Pathstone Living and is celebrating Easter in Heaven with Jesus and Lyle.
A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato, with Rev. Roger Knepprath officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church. Private family interment will be in Kern’s Oak Grove Cemetery. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, Mankato or the donor’s choice.
Ruth Audrey was born on October 27, 1924 in Mankato to Sylvester and Anna (Rush) Bauer. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1942. On December 20, 1942, Ruth was united in marriage to Lyle Loe at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato. Ruth was the secretary to the Principal at Mankato High School and then East High School. Ruth enjoyed spending time on the deck at the lake and fishing. She also enjoyed watching the Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and watching dirt bike riding. Ruth was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, she had a strong Christian faith.
Ruth is survived by two children, Linda (Wally) Wolff of Madison Lake and Timothy (Gloria) Loe of Mankato; four grandchildren, Molly Loe, Joe (Staci) Grommersch, Jason (Kari) Loe, and Michael Loe; six great-grandchildren, Kirsten Loe, Katelyn Robertson, Caleb Loe, Mitchell Robertson, Izabel Grommersch, and Jack Grommersch; sister-in-law, Glenna Loe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lyle.
