Gordy Chamberlain

Gordy Chamberlain, 72, Mankato, died, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his home. 

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary with Rev. John Kunz officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Northview. 

Gordon Neil was born on December 1, 1943 in Waterville, MN to Paul and Bernice (Hollinger) Chamberlain.  He graduated from Loyola High School in 1961 and later from Mankato Commercial College.  Gordy served in the Army National Guard for six years.  Gordy was united in marriage to Mary Hutcherson on May 14, 1969 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  He worked for over 30 years for Chamberlain Window and Siding and eventually owned and operated the family business with his brother, Robert.  Gordy was an avid golfer, bowler, duck hunter, and fisherman.  He enjoyed playing games and putting puzzles together with his grandchildren. 

Gordy is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Lori Scharff and her husband Steve Kuehl; grandchildren, Jada, Alec, and Addison; siblings, Jeanne Traxler, Robert (Myrna) Chamberlain, and Gary (Mary) Chamberlain; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Ron Traxler and Gary Hutcherson.
