Leo Arnold Cox, age 68, of North Mankato, died on Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016, at Swan Lake Lutheran Church, rural New Ulm, with Rev. Heidi Hagstrom officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Swan Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice, Mankato.

Leo was born on August 8, 1947 in Mankato to Arnold Leo and Laurine (Ulmen) Cox. He graduated from Nicollet High School in 1965 and later from North Mankato Vo-Tech. Leo served in the United States Army from 1968-1970. On February 3, 1968, Leo was united in marriage to Jeanne Swenson in St. Peter. He farmed until 1980, then worked for Titus Inc., and for the past 30 years worked for Moliter Farms. He enjoyed tinkering and working on cars in his shop. Leo loved time spent at the family cabin on Smith Lake near Osakis, MN. He was a member of Swan Lake Lutheran Church.

Leo is survived by wife, Jeanne of rural North Mankato; three children, Kaasi Cox (Mitch Reese) of Shakopee, Adam Cox of rural North Mankato, and Blaine Cox of New Ulm; furry grandson, Bruno; three sisters, Jeri (Louis) Manderfield of Mankato, MaryAnn (Doug) Garberson of Birmingham, AL, and Kathy Henning of Savage; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Dale Gedde of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Joyce Gedde of North Mankato.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Eleanor Swenson; and brother-in-law, Eugene Gedde.
