Beverly E. Murphy

Beverly Elaine Murphy, 70, died March 1, 2016 at her home in Mankato, MN.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior to the service. 

Beverly was born on April 5, 1945 in LaMar, Colorado to John and Lillian Smith.  Beverly was a longtime resident of Pueblo, Colorado, Le Center & Mankato, Minnesota. Beverly loved spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren; she never missed a grandparent’s day at school.  Beverly enjoyed bingo, fishing, George Strait, Elvis and most of all the Denver Broncos.  Often times she would make bets with her brother-in-law Denny, who was a Vikings fan, which she often won. 

Beverly is survived by her children, Cindy (David) Guerrieri of Collbran, Colorado, Dianne (Peter) Plonsky of Cleveland, Minnesota, Ronnie (Jean) Wilder of Windom, Minnesota, and Donnie (Alex) Murphy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren, Joshua, Morgan, Austin, and Hailey; sister, Evelyn (Dennis) Blaschko of Le Center, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Dale Hulbert of Muskegon, Michigan, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her oldest child, Connie; parents, John and Lillian Smith of Pueblo, Colorado; and nine brothers and sisters.

A much loved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be very much missed, but will live in our hearts forever.  She’s home.
