Romey Jay Gockley

Romey Jay Gockley was born on December 3, 2015. He was not breathing and transferred to Rochester St. Mary's NICU where he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia and Trisomy 13.

He had numerous surgeries and was in the NICU for 67 days. He came home on February 6, 2016. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 15, 2016. 

He is survived by his parents, Lisa Starkweather and John Gockley of Waseca; big brother, Max; grandparents, Brenda Atkisson of Waseca, Howard and Judy Wreath of North Mankato; uncle, aunts, and cousins, Paul and Roxanne (Alice and Rick) Spangler of Waseca, Shane and Stacy (Gage and Gabrielle) Augeson of Montevideo; great-grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Munns of Winnebago. 

Romey is preceded in death by Michael, Robert and Phyllis Starkweather. 

Romey was a fighter and very special little baby boy! He is loved beyond measure! 

Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 12:00 pm at Mankato Mortuary 1001 N Riverfront Dr. with visitation one hour prior. Lunch to follow at Pappageorge Restaurant.
