Barbara L. Anderson, 80, of Albert Lea and formerly of Mankato, died February 11, 2016 in Albert Lea.

Service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation from 9:30 am until the time of service at church.

Barb was born June 26, 1935 to Arthur and Marie (Gerlitz) Weigt in Waseca, MN. On June 18, 1955, she married Donald Anderson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. Together they raised 4 children, Diane, David, John, and Lisa. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Some of Barb’s favorite activities included collecting and reading Laura Ingles Wilder books, watching the Waltons, and chatting with many family members and friends. She especially loved being with family. She will be greatly missed by many.

Barb is survived by her husband, Donald of over 60 years; children, Diane (Randy) Wolpern of Montgomery, MN, David (Lisa) Anderson of Hudson, WI, John (Lori) Anderson of Newnan, GA, and Lisa (Brian) Hartmann of New Prague, MN; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Audrey (Richard) Lueck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Lennie Marie.
