Phyllis Helen Sohler

Phyllis H. Sohler, 92, of Lake Crystal died Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church. Rosary to begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery. 

Phyllis was born October 2, 1923 to Arthur and Gertrude (Gitter) Huebl in Mankato, MN. On January 31, 1945 she married Francis Sohler at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Together they raised seven children, Helen, Joseph, Susanne, Michael, Carol, Patricia, and Dianne.

Phyllis was known to be an excellent self-taught seamstress and in her later years she was an avid quilter. During her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Francis. Phyllis was a strong yet caring and loving woman who found family very important to her. She will be greatly missed by many.  

She is survived by her husband, Francis of 71 years; children, Helen (Roger) Hove, Joseph (Patti Hanson) Sohler, Susanne (Richard) Arens, Michael (Nancy) Sohler, Carol Riewe, Patricia (Emil) Pecholt, and Dianne (Ted) Roberts; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Don Huebl; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ruth Huebl.
