Lela M. Sohre age 90, of Good Thunder, died peacefully surrounded by family Friday, January 22, 2016 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., to 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pathstone Living or BENCHS. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Lela M. Sohre was born May 8, 1925 to Frank and Marie (Boege) Bunde in rural Good Thunder. She attended country school near Good Thunder. Lela was united in marriage to Elmer Sohre on May 29, 1945 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. She was a homemaker, farm wife and considered her family her job.

She was member of St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Lela enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing, cards and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Lela is survived by her five sons and their wives, Royce and Claudia of Good Thunder, Dennis and Myra of Good Thunder, David and Mary Sue of Mapleton, Gary and Jackie of Mapleton, Donald and Laurinda of Madison Lake; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; other in-laws and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer 2013; one granddaughter, one great granddaughter; sister, Emma; four brothers, Edwin, Gordon, Raymond, and Walter
