James ‘Jim’ E. Isaacs James Earl Isaacs, ‘Jim’, age 66, of Mankato, died on Friday, January 15, 2016.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Crossview Covenant Church with Pastor Brad Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue with the family an hour before the funeral service at Crossview Covenant Church. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery.

Jim was born on May 13, 1949 to Earl and Shirley (Soderberg) Isaacs in Owatonna, MN. They lived in Dodge Center, MN and Bloomer, WI before moving to Mankato in 1957. Jim attended school in Mankato. He began work at MRCI and worked there for more than 50 years. Jim was truly a kind and gentle person, a child of the King. He loved riding his bike and visiting with neighbors. He loved cars and collecting pens. He dearly loved his family and cherished his many favorite “good buddies” at his home, work and church.

He is survived by his father, Earl Isaacs of Mankato; sisters, Colleen Isaacs of Mankato and Diana (Ken) Stoll of North Mankato, and brother, Phil (Becky) Isaacs of Rochester, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Rhonda Isaacs of St. Paul; nieces and nephews, Bria Stoll Asleson, Anders (Brooke) Stoll, Stephanie (Chad) Fisher, Angela Vartanian, Alyssa Isaacs, Bethany (Erick) Abramson and Rachel Isaacs; great nephews and nieces, Samuel and Gabriel Asleson; Cole, Madelyn, and Henry Stoll; Langley Fisher; Caitlynn Vartanian; and Asher, Julian, and Nina Abramson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Isaacs; brother, Paul Isaacs; and nephew, Matthew Isaacs.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MRCI or Crossview Covenant Church.
