JoAnn (Victery) Geller, 77, of Mankato, MN, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to BENCHS. A 2nd Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Schererville, Indiana. Interment will follow in the memorial park.JoAnn was born January 5, 1939, to Isaac and Juanita (Dusenbery) Victery in Gary, Indiana. She graduated from Edison High School, Gary, IN in 1957. JoAnn was united in marriage to James A. Geller on September 10, 1960, in Gary, IN. JoAnn and James moved from Indiana, to Wisconsin, then Texas, and finally to Mankato in 1987, as James was transferred with his job at Crown Cork & Seal. JoAnn was an artist all throughout her life and was very active in the Arts Community in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Mankato. JoAnn was an active and faithful member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she enjoyed helping in the church office and cooking for the Seminary. JoAnn also volunteered her time for the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Mankato. JoAnn had a great love of music and enjoyed playing the piano, she also enjoyed decorating, antiques, birdwatching, nature, working in her gardens, and spending time with her grandchildren.Survived by her two children, Jacqueline (Todd) Geller-Johnson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Jason (Diana) Geller of Mankato; three grandchildren, Kennedy, Joshua, and Jameson Geller; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Victery of Alabama and Pat (Ed) Krumrie of Lake of Four Seasons, Indiana; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James on August 30, 1996; and brother, Robert.
