Linda Marie Toth, age 54, of North Mankato, died Friday, January 1, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. January 8, 2016, at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the mortuary.

Linda struggled with heart disease for years. In October 2015, she chose to enter Home Hospice care rather than many ICU hospitalizations. Her implanted defibrillator was deactivated at that time. She fought mightily with great courage.

Linda was born September 5, 1961, to Ellwood Gustafson and Beatrice Carlson Gustafson in Minneapolis.  Linda graduated from West High School in Minneapolis.  She operated a cleaning service in Minneapolis for many years before becoming disabled.  Linda loved visiting with her many friends, playing cards, bingo, and was an accomplished crochet artist selling her crochet creations countrywide.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, concerts, garage sales, and computer games.

Survivors include her boyfriend, Don Rickard; her sons, Brent (Ashley) and John; nephew, Douglas (Michelle); aunt, Doris Stroberger, aunt, Joan Carlson, Kurt Nelson, Debbie Toth, her many friends and her beloved rescue doggie.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cheryl; and her best friend, Penny.
