Arlene Gertrude Fritschmann

Arlene Fritschmann, age 82, of Mankato, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at her home.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Heiden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to BENCHS (Mankato pet shelter).

Arlene was born August 4, 1933 in Minneapolis to Edward and Genevieve (Murphy) Flasch. She graduated from South High in Minneapolis. She worked at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital for 25 years. Arlene loved cats, cardinals and bird watching, and her animals, Peppy, Boo Boo, and Quary. She enjoyed listening to Christmas music and the Christmas Cantata. Arlene was the most selfless lady and mother with such a big heart. She was a strong woman and loved her family so much.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Denise Fritschmann (Jarrett Milbrett) of Mankato; grandchildren, Taylor and Ozker; and brother, Gene Flasch of Eagan; she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edee Kroenke.
