Frances Jean Pick

Frances Jean Pick, 89 of Mapleton, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato.

Funeral service will be 11am, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (11593 626th Avenue, Minnesota Lake, MN 56068) with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Michael Mathews will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church, Mapleton Community Home, or a charity of donor’s choice.

Frances was born in Mapleton on June 9, 1926 to Fred and Della (Pagel) Hawker. She graduated from Mapleton High School and was married to LeRoy Pick. For many years, Frances worked as a cook for Mapleton Public School (Maple River). In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and volunteering with the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Lazerine of Plymouth; nieces, Karen Trembley and Judy (Paul) Frankcamp; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Pick; sister, Ruth Anderson; and brother, Fred Hawker.

Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home in Mapleton is assisting the family with arrangements.
