Kim Herrmann, age 48, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at the Rochester, Mayo Clinic surrounded by family and friends. She had recently fought and won a battle with cancer only to then be diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis and a subsequent interstitial lung disease that developed due to the autoimmune disease.
Service is on 11am, Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Crossview Covenant Church, North Mankato. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation is on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4-7p.m. at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Kim was born May 8th 1967 in Phu-Thiem city – Vietnam to Danh Le and Father: Abdoulal. Kim had eight siblings that she loved and cared for. At the age of 15, she escaped Vietnam with her brother, Minh, to travel over to the United States. Upon arriving to America she was taken into the home of the Johnson’s, her new family in America. What a strong and beautiful life she lived. She always wanted to learn more. She had so much passion in everything she did. She continued her schooling at Mankato State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Art. Kim was united in marriage on November 19th, 2005 in Apple Valley with Mark Herrman. Kim spent 20 years at TCF Bank, while also working at Herberger’s, Kay Jewelers, and being a nail technician on days she didn’t work her other jobs.
Kim loved to work in her garden, go fishing, go on cruises, take pictures of everything, loved to dance and sing Karaoke in Vietnamese, and spend time with family. Religious Beliefs: Kim was a very spiritual woman. She was a Christian and a member of the Crossview Covenant Church.
Kim was survived by spouse, Mark Herrmann; children: Mylinh Tran and Tony Tran; parents: mother: Danh Le and father, Abdullahl; siblings; nephews, nieces, cousins: Pets: Dogs: Eddie, Jimmy, Max/Birds: Clovis, Chloe and fish – who we never named him.
