Arlund E. Bapp

Arlund Erwin Bapp, 78 of North Mankato, passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato on December 11, 2015 from T. Cell Lymphoma.                                                                         

Visitation will be 4-7pm, Wednesday, December 16 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. Funeral service 11am, Thursday at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior. Burial at Kerns Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  

Arlund was born January 3, 1937 in Rosholt, SD to William and Lucy Bapp. Arlund graduated from Rosholt High School in 1955. He married Janet Boekholt on April 6, 1963 in Wheaton, MN. In 1968, Arlund and Janet moved to Mankato. He worked at Quality Extrusion for 44 years, retiring in July 2013. Arlund loved his three grandchildren and enjoyed going to all their baseball and football games and going to Miranda’s dance competitions.  

Arlund is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Mark of North Mankato and Jeff (Shiloh) of North Mankato; grandchildren, Miranda, Aaron, and Jack, all of North Mankato; sister, Veda Arlt of Calsbad, CA; brother, Gerald (Janice) Bapp of Dassel, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Arvid and Stanley; brother-in-law, Walter Arlt; and two sisters-in-law.
