Richard T. Putman, age 75, of Mankato, died peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home. 

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 12:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Northview.  

Rich was born on October 7, 1940 in Mankato to Paul and Mildred (Morgan) Putman. He graduated from Mankato High School. He received degrees in Spanish, Russian, Physics, and Math from Mankato State University. He attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota. Rich was united in marriage to Lorraine Hammond on June 19, 1965. During the course of his life, Rich was a programmer for NASA, a State Senate candidate, a pilot, a competitive dog trainer, and a published co-author. Rich owned and operated Paul’s Enterprises for many years.   Rich played tennis for years and most recently enjoyed playing ping pong three times a week.  

Rich is survived by three children, Lisa Pu, Mark Putman, Marcy Weingartz and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lori.
