Susan Felicia (Kinate) Zenk, 64 of North Mankato, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Water’s Edge Care Center in Mankato after a long struggle with Parkinson’s.
Visitation will be 4-7pm, Tuesday, December 15 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral Mass 11am, Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with visitation starting at 9:30am. Reverend Paul van de Crommert will officiate.
Susan was born September 21, 1951 in Green Bay, WI to Wilbert and Lorraine (Gunnlaugsson) Kinate. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm in 1969 and was married to Patrick Zenk on June 19, 1971. Sue worked at Kraft Foods for over 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, playing cards, bowling, shopping, and traveling with family.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Zenk of North Mankato; children, Michael Zenk of Sartell, Mark (Becca Schramm) Zenk of North Mankato, Marisa (Jon) Isenberg of North Mankato, and Megan (Andrew) Ochs of Becker; grandchildren, Avary Roiger, Carson Zenk, Brendan Isenberg, Anna Isenberg, Kayla Ochs, Isaac Ochs, and Owen Ochs; mother, Lorraine Kinate of De Pere, WI; siblings, Sister Nancy Kinate of Manitowoc, WI, Sister Jane Kinate of Manitowoc, WI, Mary Verheyen of Irma, WI, Jim Kinate of De Pere, WI, Paul (Sue) Kinate of Wausau, WI, Tom Kinate (Christine Taylor) of Appleton, WI, Greg (Joan) Kinate of Green Bay, WI, Joan (Joe) Young of Normal, IL, and Jean (Dennis Zak) Kinate of Green Bay, WI; sister-in-law, Rose (Mick) Marsyla of St. Cloud; brothers-in-law, David Zenk of New Ulm, John (Judy) Zenk of New Ulm, Bill (Peggy) Zenk of New Ulm, Tim (Pam) Zenk of New Ulm, and Scott Hedlund of St. Cloud; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Kinate; parents-in-law, LeRoy and Anna Zenk; sisters-in-law, Kathy Hedlund and Kathy Kinate; and brothers-in-law, Peter Zenk and Bill Verheyen.
